About the show

It's the biggest and baddest rock'n'roll musical ever! On the way to visit an old college professor, two clean-cut kids run into tire trouble and seek help at the sight of a light down the road. It's coming from the Frankenstein place where Dr. Frank N. Furter is in the midst of one of his maniacal experiments. What follows is a night of fun, frolics and frivolity with that sweet transvestite and his motley crew of misfits. Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock 'n' roll sci fi gothic is more fun than ever.

Auditions

This audition is for the role of Frank "N" Furter only. Auditions for all other roles will be held May 5 & 6. All roles in the production are available.

The role of Frank "N" Furter requires a musical theatre performer with a "rock and roll" type voice and outrageous personality. The character is an over-the-top bisexual transvestite between the ages of 25 and 45. He is from the planet of Transsexual and is trying to create new life in his laboratory. The performer needs to be able to sing in both a tenor (to a high G) and bass (low E) range. Vocal versatility is important; the ability to sing in a "raunchy rock voice" as well as a "sweet and lyrical voice". Frank "N" Furter should possess the ability to surprise and capture the audience with every note and word.

Auditions will be comprised of singing two prepared musical theatre Broadway selections that shows your vocal range within what is described above. Please bring sheet music in your own key. An accompanist will be provided. No a capella or karaoke singing.
