The Dumb Waiter
by Harold Pinter
Please join the MVT Studio for its inaugural Studio Play Readers.  Throughout the year, the MVT Studio will offer our community a suggested play to read.  We will then provide an evening of discussion on the play with a guest theatre practitioner.

PLAY SELECTION:

The Dumb Waiter
by Harold Pinter

Pinter is a Nobel Prize winning playwright. His plays examine the relationships and rivalries of characters who always seem to be trapped in small spaces and the players use humor and despair as they cope with their existence.

The evening will be curated by Richard McPherson who is familiar to Hawaii audiences for his work at Diamond Head Theatre, Kumu Kahua Theatre, and Manoa Valley Theatre. Three of his plays, Practicing, The Love Letters of Dracula and Mina, and Elvis, Nixon, and Kennedy were performed in Hawaii. He is also a member of SAG/AFTRA.

Mr. McPherson will present a performance of Harold Pinter’s play The Dumb Waiter at MVT on March 14th.

Don’t delay - find your copy of Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter and join us at 7pm on February 27 in room 200 for a discussion on the play.
